Who we are

This is the Rotherham NEU website, managed by the local committee. For questions about information held through this website, email RotherhamBranch@neu.org.uk.

Comments

Public comments are disabled on this website. Disabling comments does not itself erase any older records. Contact RotherhamBranch@neu.org.uk if you have a question about a comment previously submitted.

Surveys, meeting RSVPs and conference interest

The priorities and directed-time surveys ask for your selected answer, without requesting your name, email address or workplace. Jetpack may also process technical information, such as an IP address, so these surveys should not be treated as fully anonymous.

Meeting RSVP forms collect your name and email address. The conference-interest form also asks whether you want to attend or find out more, and offers an optional workplace field. An optional checkbox lets you request private contact about access arrangements. Please do not enter medical details or confidential casework into these forms.

Responses are stored in the website’s Jetpack Forms system and notifications are sent to Nicholas.Dale@neu.org.uk for administration and follow-up. They are not displayed publicly or used by these forms to subscribe you to a mailing list. Survey findings may be published as summaries, without identifying individual respondents.

Retention of event responses

Our policy is to delete routine meeting RSVP and conference-interest responses, including emailed copies, within three months after the relevant event. Where a matter needs ongoing follow-up, the necessary information should be handled separately through the union’s appropriate procedures. The site administrator is responsible for reviewing and deleting these records; deletion is not automatic.

This event-response period does not set a retention period for the separate priorities and directed-time surveys. For questions about a survey response or to request deletion, contact the branch using the details below. Service-provider logs and backups are handled under the provider’s own policies.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
